The system includes an electric heat source with heating circuit control, a pump and an expansion vessel. Two output levels are available, 8 kW and 24 kW. The Vitotron 100 is available in two versions: one with weather-compensated control or as constant temperature control.
Using solid fuels is currently the cheapest option, but it is not convenient. In the case of a fireplace or solid fuel boiler, one must not forget about regular refueling and cleaning of the appliances. Another disadvantage in terms of comfort is that the boiler room cannot be left unattended, and during longer absences, such as a holiday, there is a risk of the system freezing.
These problems disappear when using an electric boiler, which supports heating when it is not possible to refuel for various reasons. It switches on fully automatically only when, for example, the fire in the fireplace goes out in the morning. When nobody is home, it will maintain only the temperature needed to prevent freezing.
Comfortable operation and easy installation
Installation of the Vitotron 100 boiler is inexpensive and does not require a gas line connection, chimney construction, boiler room or fuel storage space - all that is needed is an electrical connection. The use of weather-compensated control (type VMN3) ensures high thermal comfort and maintenance-free operation, which, combined with a boiler efficiency of 99.4%, ensures energy-efficient operation.

Trouble-free cooperation
Electric boilers are also often used to support the heating of buildings where the primary heat source is, for example, a heat pump, fireplace or solid fuel boiler. This way, they combine the use of renewable sources with comfort of use and ensure a temperature above freezing point when users are not at home. These are small appliances with a neat design that can be installed practically anywhere.
When using suitable modules, the boilers can cooperate with a buffer storage tank of the heating system. Heat accumulation during low-tariff periods ensures lower heating costs.
The Vitotron 100 can cooperate with any heating system and hot water storage tank. It is equipped with a 5 l expansion vessel and the necessary safety fittings. When cooperating with a hot water storage tank, it is possible to control the water temperature and the circulation pump according to daily or weekly settings.
