A zone shut-off valve allows the flow of heating water into a specific zone or circuit to be switched on and off independently of the rest of the system – typically in combination with a room thermostat or central control. The range includes two-way shut-off valves without an actuator (for fitting your own actuator) as well as complete assemblies with an actuator ready for immediate connection.
The actuators run on a 230 V supply with a travel time of 12 or 30 seconds; separate replacement actuators are also available for both two-way and three-way zone shut-off valves of the MODULO range – useful when replacing a damaged actuator without having to change the whole valve.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a zone shut-off valve used for in a heating system? It allows the flow to a selected heating zone to be shut off or opened independently, for example according to a room thermostat, without affecting other circuits.
- Can a zone shut-off valve be bought separately without an actuator? Yes, the valves are also available without an actuator, for cases where the actuator is sourced separately or only a damaged actuator on an existing valve needs replacing.
- What is the difference between the 12 s and 30 s actuator? The number indicates the speed at which the actuator moves from one end position to the other – the faster 12 s actuator is used where a quicker control response is needed.
