- What is the difference between a gas detector and a CO detector? A gas detector reacts to natural gas or LPG leaking into the air, while a CO detector measures the concentration of carbon monoxide produced by incomplete combustion. Combined models (e.g. IVAR.BEAGLE MET) report both hazards at the same time.
- Can the sensors in the detectors be replaced? Yes, replacement CO and natural gas sensors are supplied separately and allow the detector's function to be restored once the sensor's service life has expired, without replacing the whole device.
- How is the detector's function verified? A functional tester for natural gas and LPG detectors is used for regular checks, simulating a gas leak and verifying that the alarm triggers.
