Dynamic thermostatic radiator valves IVAR
A dynamic thermostatic valve with presetting automatically maintains a constant flow through the radiator regardless of pressure changes in the system caused by the operation of other valves. This eliminates the need to re-balance the system hydraulically whenever other thermostatic heads in the building change state.
The valves are supplied in straight, angle and triple-connection versions (left/right), with a 3/8", 1/2" or 1/2"xEK connection. The triple-connection version is mainly used for towel rails and combined radiators.
Frequently asked questions
- How does a dynamic valve differ from a classic thermostatic valve? A dynamic valve automatically maintains a constant flow even when the system pressure changes, whereas a classic valve has to be balanced manually at the design stage.
- Does a dynamic valve need to be manually preset? Presetting is done at the factory according to the designed flow rate; unlike a classic valve, it does not need to be changed further during operation.
- What connections do dynamic valves offer? 3/8", 1/2" or 1/2"xEK, in straight, angle and triple-connection (left/right) versions.
- What systems are they suitable for? Mainly for larger two-pipe systems with multiple radiators, where the load on individual branches changes during the day.
