Heating rod QSX 300 W. Electric heating element for bathroom radiators.

The price of the element includes an elegant movable cover, used to hide the cable at the back. The length of the cover is adjustable by sliding.

The element with electronic thermostat type QSX is a device designed for heating systems such as bathroom radiators, towel dryers, or as a supplementary device for an already existing radiator heating system. It can also be used with other heating appliances. Protection rating: IP65

Technical parameters of the heating element

1.    BACKER heating element

-         The device is equipped with a temperature-limit fuse and an integrated temperature sensor

-         Possibility to remove the thermostat from the heating element and reconnect it after installation

-         The thermostat and heating element are supplied separately

-         Possibility to reposition the heater by rotating the thermostat cover

-         Servicing and repair of the thermostat is possible without draining the radiator

2.    Modern touch-control system

-         Easy setting by touching the marked spot on the sensor

-         Blue – cold radiator

-         Green – radiator temperature suitable for drying towels

-         Red – high radiator temperature, requires cautious use depending on the material type

-         Flashing red light – radiator temperature above 65°, possible radiator overheating, remove everything from the radiator and check thermostat operation

-         Temperature indication is active at all times while the thermostat is on, regardless of how the radiator is heated (by the element or by central heating)

5.    Thermostat operating mode

5.1            status test mode – SELF TEST – when connecting to the mains all lights come on and flash in a certain sequence, in order to check all functions and the presence of necessary components.

If the element works correctly after the self-test, the thermostat switches to the operating mode marked with an asterisk (5 °C).

If all lights flash at the same time, the thermostat indicates a faulty temperature sensor. It is necessary to check the connection between the element and the thermostat.

5.2           on/off mode – shows whether the thermostat is on/off

5.3           Asterisk (*) – temperature range of 5 °C, which protects the element against freezing. The thermostat switches to this mode after the self-test and after a restart caused by a power loss.

5.4           Heating temperature mode

·       Temperature mode 40-50-55 °C for drying and heating

·       65 °C – mode recommended for heating only

5.5           Timer
Option to set the time of the selected function to 2 hours. If this mode is switched on, the light will flash more slowly during the first hour of operation and faster during the second. After two hours the thermostat switches to the mode marked with an asterisk.

The lifetime of QSX heating elements is extended thanks to the use of stainless steel heating parts. A capillary with a temperature sensor at its end has been added. The measurement is very precise. You can very precisely check the temperature of the medium in which the element is placed. A special fuse protects the QS model against overheating in the event of a drop in the medium level.
