A brass threaded nipple - extends or connects two male threads, used for example to bridge the gap between two fittings. Brass is a long-proven, standard material for threaded water and heating pipework thanks to its corrosion resistance and reliable tightness when the joint is properly tightened.

• How do I choose the correct fitting size?
