Brass caps are used to close the end of a threaded pipe or fitting where the pipework does not continue any further. They are most commonly fitted at the ends of heating or water pipe runs, or as a temporary shut-off when part of the system is taken out of service.
They are made with an internal thread in sizes 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1", covering the common diameters used in household and heating installations. Thanks to the brass material, they are corrosion-resistant and also suitable for domestic hot water systems.
