Brass cap 1" - for internal thread

• used for blanking off pipes or fittings with an external connecting thread in drinking water and service water pipe systems, in central heating or underfloor heating systems with a rated pressure up to 1.5 MPa and temperature up to 110°C
• can also be used for liquid substances whose properties do not damage the base material the cap is made of and do not exceed the temperature and pressure conditions specified for water

• How do I choose the right fitting size? The thread size (e.g. 1/2", 3/4", 1") must exactly match the thread size on the pipe or fitting you are connecting to - designations such as FF (female-female), MF (male-female) and similar abbreviations in the name indicate the thread type on each side of the fitting.
• What do the abbreviations FF and MF in the name mean? F (female, internal thread) and M (male, external thread) indicate the thread type on that side of the fitting - for example "FF" means an internal thread on both sides, "MF" an external thread on one side and an internal thread on the other.
• Is sealing material needed during installation? Yes, sealing material (e.g. PTFE tape or hemp fibre with sealing paste) is normally used on threaded joints to ensure a perfectly tight connection - the thread alone without a sealant will not reliably seal.
• Does installation have to be done by a professional? A simple threaded connection can be handled by a competent DIY installer, but when working on an already functioning system (especially a gas or pressurised water/heating system) we recommend calling a plumber, who will also check the tightness of the joint after installation.
