Stationary indirect-heated storage tanks from Tatramat (today Stiebel Eltron) heat water using a heat exchanger connected to a boiler or other heat source, rather than their own electric element. They are therefore suitable as a supplementary tank for a gas boiler, heat pump or fireplace with a heat exchanger. The range includes models with top and side outlets (SB-VTH, SB-VTI) in capacities from 100 to 200 litres.
A high-quality enamelled tank and a magnesium anode rod protect the tank from corrosion and ensure a long service life even with year-round operation.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between a top and a side outlet? It determines the direction of the pipe connection to the tank and how it is positioned in the space - the choice depends on the layout of the boiler room or utility room.
- Can an indirect-heated tank be additionally heated electrically? With some models, yes, after fitting an electric heating insert as an accessory.
- What tank capacity should I choose for a family house? For a 3-4 person household, 150-200 litres is generally recommended; the exact choice depends on the output of the heat source and the number of draw-off points.
