Flow-through system with Siliphos H10A 3/4"
Code: SILIPHOSOM H10A 3/4Product detailed description
Flow-through system with Siliphos H10A, connection size 3/4"
Flow-through devices with Siliphos H10A are used to treat drinking water. Siliphos prevents the formation of limescale and rust, which increase the energy consumption needed to heat water. The end effect of using Siliphos is a significant reduction in energy costs.
The H10 unit is supplied together with a mounting key, a wall-mounting bracket and a container with 750 g of Siliphos, in a cardboard box. A container with 750 g of Siliphos can also be purchased separately. This device is suitable for family houses with up to 6 occupants.
Basic characteristics:
The flow-through device with Siliphos is a universal and economical solution that prevents limescale build-up and corrosion in drinking water distribution systems, and prevents limescale formation in hot water preparation equipment as well as in every water heating process in flats and houses.
The flow-through device with Siliphos is also successfully used in hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, fitness centres, shopping centres, apartment buildings, and food and other manufacturing plants. Siliphos is useful wherever water is hard, or very soft.
Technical solution proposal for Siliphos:
Flow-through devices with Siliphos can be installed on any water system and do not need an electricity supply. Installation and refilling are extremely simple.
Siliphos is a special product, manufactured in Germany and used for more than 35 years throughout Europe. It has the approval of the health authorities in all EU countries for use with drinking water.
Using Siliphos is not softening - the water remains equally hard, i.e. healthy. Hard water is healthier than soft water. Compared with softening, Siliphos is cheaper to acquire and to run.
Siliphos performs three functions:
- On the metal surfaces of pipework, heating elements and coils, on nozzles, measuring and control components, taps and sanitary fittings, it forms a microfilm that completely prevents the formation of limescale and rust.
- It prevents calcium and magnesium dissolved in the water from depositing on metal and ceramic surfaces in the form of limescale.
- It gradually removes old limescale and rust deposits from metal surfaces.
The acquisition cost is recovered very quickly, because it prevents the formation of limescale or rust deposits. Limescale and rust primarily significantly worsen heat transfer parameters, and for the same amount of hot water, 30–40% more energy is used than when limescale and rust do not form. The service life of energy equipment is extended. Further savings show up in reduced spending on cleaning products for taps and ceramic tiling.
The flow-through system in the main drinking water supply treats all appliances (water pipework, taps, instantaneous water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, kettles, irons, bathroom tiling, baths, toilets, etc.).
The size of the flow-through device depends on water consumption. Because peak consumption makes up about 66% of daily consumption and lasts a maximum of 2 hours, the flow-through devices need to be sized so that there is no water shortage during peak draw-off. The maximum working pressure is 10 bar. The pressure loss will be minimal.
For a larger flat in an apartment building, or for a small family house with a maximum of 4 occupants (maximum flow 500 l/hour), the H10A type flow-through device is suitable. It is a 10“ tall transparent plastic container with a transparent cartridge holding 700 g of Siliphos. The device treats at least 250 m3 of water.
