Electric underfloor heating HAKL TCX 10 ThermoCABLE provides floor heating using a two-core cable. Installation is therefore much simpler, as only one connecting, so-called „cold“ lead needs to be connected to the thermostat, without the need to route a second connecting cable from the opposite side of the room. Another advantage of the TCX model range is lower electromagnetic radiation - electrosmog, which is cancelled out by the negative radiation of the second heating strand. By design they are intended for embedding directly into concrete mixtures. The heating cables ensure ideal temperature distribution in the room and, thanks to minimal air circulation, reduce dust levels.

- Why is a two-core cable design (ThermoCABLE) an advantage? With a two-core cable, only one end needs to be connected to the thermostat (the so-called cold lead) - the other end of the cable is "blind" and remains embedded in the floor. With a single-core design, a second connecting cable would need to be routed back to the distribution board from the opposite side of the room, which complicates the installation.
- How do I choose the right output/length of heating cable? Base your choice on the area of the room you want to cover with the heating cable, and the required output per m² (commonly 140-160 W/m² is used for direct heating without another heat source, while less is sufficient for tempering/supplementary heating) - the specific length and total output of the cable is chosen accordingly.
- Can I shorten or extend the cable as needed? No, heating cables are supplied in a fixed, manufacturer-specified length and output and must not be arbitrarily shortened or otherwise modified - make your selection according to the exact area and required output of the room.
- Is a special thermostat required? Yes, electric underfloor heating requires a thermostat designed for underfloor heating, usually with a floor temperature sensor (or a combination of a room and floor sensor), which controls the switching on/off of the cable and protects the floor covering from overheating.
- Must the installation be carried out by an electrician? Yes, connecting the heating cable to the electrical network and thermostat must be carried out by a person with electrical qualifications; laying the cable into the floor according to the instructions can be done by a skilled DIYer, but the electrical connection cannot.
