- How do I choose the correct fitting size? The thread size must exactly match the thread on the pipe or fitting to which it is being connected - the abbreviations FF (internal-internal thread) and MF (external-internal) in the name indicate the thread type on each side.
- Is sealing material needed during installation? Yes, PTFE tape or hemp fibre with sealing paste is normally used on threaded joints to ensure the joint is perfectly tight.
- Does installation have to be done by a professional? A simple threaded connection can be handled by a DIYer with basic skills, but for work on an already functioning system (especially gas), we recommend calling in a plumber, who will also verify the tightness of the joint.
