Circulation pump OMNIGENA 25/60 130mm
- The Omnigena range of solar pumps is designed for water circulation in solar and heating systems.
- The pumps can operate in water systems and circuits containing water with glycol in a 50/50 ratio.
- The maximum temperature of the water / water-glycol circuit must not exceed 120 ° C and must not be lower than 5 ° C
- The pumps cannot operate in water systems or circuits containing water with glycol that may contain solid particles (e.g. pieces of rust, etc.).
Pump installation
- It is recommended to install the pump on the return pipe. Ball valves or a filter should be installed immediately before and after the pump.
The pump must be installed so that:
- The required water flow direction should match the arrow shown on the pump housing.
- The circulation pump must always be in a horizontal position. Setting the pump axis in a different position will lead to premature wear of the bearing and pump block.
- Electronics must not be placed under the pump; any water condensation from the motor housing can flood the electrical connections, leading to failure. Pump failure caused by flooding of the connection box is not covered by the warranty.
- The room where the pump will be installed should not contain excessive humidity.
- The pump should be easily accessible for maintenance and venting.
Before starting, make sure the system is filled with water or glycol; the pump must not run "dry". Running "dry" will destroy the pump. Before starting the pump, set the speed to the highest (fastest) setting III, open the drain screw located on the rear wall of the motor and switch on the pump. If air particles are present in the water flow, the pump needs to be vented.
Pump operation and maintenance
The device only requires a check of the pump when commissioning it, or after a longer period of inactivity (e.g. before the heating season). After a long period of rest, check that the motor shaft is not blocked. This should be done as follows: Open the venting screw. At the end of the opening, the end of a cylinder with a cross-section will be visible. Using a flat screwdriver, turn the shaft in the direction indicated on the pump housing. After performing these operations, tighten the venting screw and start the pump at the highest speed level.

- How to choose the right output (head) of a circulation pump? The head (delivery height, given in metres) must cover the pressure losses of your specific heating circuit - these depend on the pipe length, the number of radiators/circuits and the resistance of the fittings. For a typical family house, a pump with a head of up to 6 m is usually sufficient; for larger or multi-zone systems, a higher head (8 m or more) is chosen - if in doubt, consult a heating technician who can precisely size the flow and head for you.
- What does the connection size (e.g. 6/4") mean for a pump? This is the threaded connection of the pump to the pipe - it must match the pipe diameter in your system, or a reducer must be used. This value must not be confused with the DN suction/discharge, which indicates the bore of the pump port itself.
- What is the difference between a single-speed and a multi-speed/electronic pump? A multi-speed pump allows you to manually switch between several fixed output levels according to the needs of the system, while an electronic (controlled) pump adjusts its output smoothly on its own according to current demand - this means lower electricity consumption and usually quieter operation.
- Why is the pump noisy and can it be fixed? Increased noise may be related to an incorrectly set (too high) output level relative to the needs of the system, the presence of air in the system, or the fact that the chosen model is not primarily designed for quiet operation in residential spaces. If the noise bothers you, we recommend trying a lower output level, thoroughly venting the system, or considering an electronically controlled model, which is usually quieter especially at partial output.
- Must the installation be carried out by a professional? Fitting the pump into an already prepared pipe (with the correct threading) can also be handled by a skilled DIYer; however, we recommend having the electrical power connection and commissioning, together with balancing the whole system, checked by a heating technician.
