Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between EPDM and FPM seals? EPDM seals are used for water, heating and fire protection systems; FPM (Viton) seals are more resistant to higher temperatures and are used, for example, in gas pipelines.
- How do I know the correct O-ring size? The O-ring size must match the diameter of the fitting or pipe (e.g. 15, 18, 22, 28, 35, 42, 54, 108 mm); when ordering a replacement part we recommend comparing it with the original seal.
- Why are GAS seals colour-coded? The yellow colour marks seals certified for gas (GAS) pipelines, so they are not mixed up with ordinary seals for water and heating.
- Are seals included with the fittings, or purchased separately? New fittings usually already have the seal fitted; this category serves mainly for buying replacement seals during servicing or disassembly of a joint.
