Pipes and press fittings made of AISI 316 stainless steel are designed for professional heating, sanitary water and other media installations where high corrosion resistance is required. The range includes T-pieces, bends, flanges, caps, connecting unions and reducers in diameters common for heating installations.
The fittings are installed by pressing, using press jaws with the appropriate profile; the joint is strong, tight and requires no welding or soldering. Thanks to the stainless steel construction, the system is also suitable for spaces with higher humidity or more demanding operating conditions.
Frequently asked questions
- Why choose stainless steel over carbon steel? AISI 316 stainless steel offers significantly higher corrosion resistance and is suitable for sanitary piping, humid spaces or water with a more demanding chemical composition.
- How are the fittings installed? As with carbon steel, the joint is made by pressing with press jaws of the appropriate profile, without the need for welding.
- Are these fittings also suitable for drinking water? Yes, AISI 316 stainless steel is commonly used for drinking and sanitary water piping thanks to its health safety and durability.
- Can this steel also be used for gas piping? A separate certified system, PRESS GAS, exists for gas piping; standard stainless steel fittings from this category are not certified for that purpose.
