Unpressurised water heaters from Tatramat and Stiebel Eltron (ESH-NTrend, EO 944 P) with a capacity of around 5 litres are used to prepare hot water for a single draw-off point, for example a small washbasin in a workshop, garage or cottage. They have a plastic tank operating at zero pressure.
Unlike pressurised water heaters, they require a special unpressurised mixer tap, which needs to be purchased separately as an accessory if the draw-off point does not already have one.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need a special tap for an unpressurised water heater? Yes, an unpressurised water heater can only be connected to a special unpressurised mixer tap - a standard pillar tap is not suitable.
- Why choose an unpressurised water heater instead of a pressurised one? It is simpler to install, does not require a pressure relief valve and is suitable where a single draw-off point with a lower flow rate is enough.
- What is the difference between "under washbasin" and "above washbasin" mounting? It determines the position of the water heater relative to the draw-off point; both variants are available in the range.
