Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I choose the right fitting size? The thread size must exactly match the thread on the pipe or fitting it connects to - the abbreviations FF (female-female) and MF (male-female) in the name indicate the thread type on each side.
- Is sealing material needed during installation? Yes, threaded joints are normally sealed with PTFE tape or hemp fibre with sealing paste to ensure the joint is fully leak-tight.
- Must installation be carried out by a professional? A simple threaded connection can be made by a DIYer with basic skills; when working on an existing system (especially gas), we recommend calling in a plumber, who can also check the joint for leaks.
