• What tools do I need to install this fitting? Press fittings require specialized crimping pliers with the correct jaw type (commonly marked B, F, or TH depending on the system) matching the size and type of the fitting - without the right tool the joint cannot be made or checked.
• How do I know the joint has been crimped correctly? Quality press fittings have a crimp indicator (e.g. a sealing O-ring that leaks if the crimp was not completed) - before embedding in a wall or screed, always carry out a pressure test of the whole system.
