• What tools do I need to install this fitting? Press fittings require specialized pressing pliers with the correct jaw type (commonly marked B, F or TH depending on the system) matching the size and type of the fitting - without the correct tool the joint cannot be made or checked.
• How do I know the joint has been pressed correctly? Quality press fittings have a press indicator (e.g. a sealing O-ring that leaks if pressing is incomplete) - before embedding the joint in a wall or screed, a pressure test of the whole system should always be carried out.
