The submersible two-pole asynchronous electric motor with mechanical parts is made of stainless steel AISI 316. The rotor runs on sliding radial bearings, while the axial load is taken up by a robust sliding thrust bearing. The radial bearings and thrust bearing pad are lubricated and cooled by a liquid fill. The stator is hermetically sealed in a stainless steel housing filled with an argon-based gas mixture. The winding terminals (with protective conductor) are led out above the pump via a sealed connector using a flat four-core lead, allowing straightforward connection of the user's own supply cable. Starting and protection of the single-phase motor
is generally handled, e.g., by a CONTROL BOX starting box containing a starting capacitor and a manually resettable motor overload protection.
For heavier starting duty the CONTROL HS system is intended. Protection of the three-phase motor is the responsibility of the user.
