Stationary indirectly heated ELIZ THV series tanks are designed to heat domestic hot water using heat from an existing boiler, via a built-in heat exchanger. The tank has no burner or electric heating element of its own as the main heat source – heat is supplied by the connected boiler.
Thanks to the top connections, they are easier to integrate into existing plumbing. The range includes capacities from 80 to 200 litres (EURO 80 THV, 100 THV, 120 THV, 150 THV, 200 THV) to suit the needs of your household and the output of your boiler.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What does an “indirectly heated” tank mean? The water is not heated directly by electricity, but indirectly using heat-transfer fluid from the boiler via a built-in heat exchanger.
- Is an additional heat source needed? The THV tank requires connection to a boiler or other heat source – on its own, it will not heat the water.
- Why are the connections located at the top? Top connections make it easier to connect to plumbing in spaces where the boiler and pipework are positioned higher up or at the same level as the tank.
