• What tools do I need to install this fitting? Press fittings require specialised pressing pliers with the correct jaw type (commonly labelled B, F or TH depending on the system) matching the size and type of the fitting - without the right tool the joint cannot be made or checked.
• How do I know a joint has been pressed correctly? Quality press fittings have a press indicator (e.g. a sealing O-ring that leaks if the press is incomplete) - before the joint is embedded in a wall or screed, a pressure test of the whole system must always be carried out.
