• What tools do I need to install this fitting? Press fittings require specialized crimping pliers with the correct type of jaw (commonly designated B, F, or TH depending on the system) matching the size and type of the fitting - without the proper tool, the joint cannot be made or checked.
• How do I know the joint has been correctly pressed? Quality press fittings have a press indicator (e.g. a sealing O-ring that leaks if pressing is incomplete) - a pressure test of the entire system must always be carried out before the joint is embedded in a wall or screed.
