• What tools do I need to install this fitting? Press fittings require specialized press tongs with the correct jaw type (commonly designated B, F, or TH depending on the system) matching the size and type of the fitting - without the proper tool, the joint cannot be made or checked.
• How do I know the joint has been pressed correctly? Quality press fittings have a press indicator (e.g. a sealing O-ring that leaks if the pressing is incomplete) - a pressure test of the whole system must always be carried out before the joint is embedded in a wall or screed.
